SeaSun Biomaterials, a molecular diagnostics company, announced on the 22nd that it has completed the development of the 'SSu-COVID19 Plus' kit that can detect on the COVID-19 mutant gene.

The kit incorporates MeltingArray technology to detect ORF1ab, E, and S genes of the existing SARS-CoV-2 in one experiment, as well as check all strains of coronavirus originating in the UK, South Africa, and Brazil.

The Melting Array technology was independently developed by SeaSun Biomaterials.

It is a technology that can detect mutations occurring in the gene sequence, and can be accurately detected by analyzing the temperature difference between normal and mutant genes.

SSu COVID-19 Plus allows you to check the results within 2 hours, and can immediately perform a COVID-19 diagnostic test without additional equipment because it using the gene amplification equipment (Real time PCR) used at COVID-19 testing centers and medical institutions.
